Lady Red Devils beat She Bears

The Vina Lady Red Devils beat the Phillips She Bears 53-42 Friday night in Bear Creek.

“I am really proud of how the girls hustled,” Vina head coach Paul Humphres said. “They were aggressive on offense and defense tonight, and they really played hard.”

Vina was winning 11-9 by the end of the first quarter, but Phillips battled back to within one point of the lead at halftime.

Vina opened the gap in the third by outscoring Phillips 21-13.

The She Bears could not overcome the Lady Red Devils lead, giving Vina the 11-point victory.

Miranda Howard led the Lady Red Devils in scoring with 18. Shelby Boyd scored 10 points, and Jessica Pickled had 8.
