PCHS athlete signs with Calhoun Community College

Phil Campbell High School’s Hannah Welborn signed a cross country scholarship with Calhoun Community College last week.
Welborn, who runs cross country and distance races in track and basketball, will attend Calhoun in the 2024-2025 school year.
“Hannah is a great kid and a dedicated runner,” said her cross-country coach Brett Thomas. “I have no doubt she will succeed at the next level.”
Tiffany Bain, Calhoun’s cross-country coach, said she is excited about the quality student-athlete she’s getting in Welborn, noting “Hannah loves to run, and I’m sure she is going to be successful with us. She has a great work ethic, and that will go a long way to making her successful.”
