ROYAL INN FIRE The staff living quarters at the Royal Inn, 2905 S. Frontage Road, were heavily damaged in a fire Saturday. Capt. Anthony Clayton of the Meridian Fire Department said Central Fire Station dispatched three emergency vehicles about 6:25 p.m. Fire Station No. 2 also responded. Clayton said the accidental fire appears to have started in a bedroom behind the office. Meridian firefighters worked about 45 minutes to contain the damage. No one was injured.
