Tragedy struck a vacationing family at Dunn's Falls Water Park late Monday evening when Brad Holly, 19, of Lumberton drowned while swimming.
Lauderdale County Fire Coordinator Clarence Butler said the call came in about 5 p.m. Volunteer firefighters and Metro emergency medical technicians were on the scene in 10-12 minutes, he said.
Butler said the family reported the possible drowning to the guard at Dunn's Falls, who made the call to E-911.
He said emergency personnel did everything they could to revive him. He said he is not sure if an autopsy will be performed.
