The years may come and go, but organizers say one thing about the Main Event never changes.
This year's Main Event has drawn 111 exhibitors. They will set up their booths Wednesday night and will be ready for the opening Thursday at 9:30 a.m., when the Hartley Peavey Entrepreneurial Award is presented during opening ceremonies.
The Main Event is sponsored by the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation.
Huff said the Main Event is open to the public. There is no admission and lunch is available from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The theme for this year's Main Event is "The Arts." Through out the day, the different arts will be demonstrated and discussed on the center stage.
One new feature will be added this year "Business After Hours," which starts at 5 p.m. and closes at 7 p.m. when the Main Event comes to an end.
Steve Swogetinsky is regional editor of The Meridian Star. Call him at 693-1551, ext. 3217, or e-mail him at sswogetinsky@themeridianstar.com.
