Investigation of fatal accidents complete

CLARKE COUNTY Sheriff Todd Kemp said an autopsy revealed 78-year-old Lavell Lightsey of Pachuta died of a heart attack during an accident that claimed his life Saturday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the scene just before noon when Lightsey, who was riding his four-wheeler, apparently struck a tractor.
The heart attack was apparently caused by the accident, Kemp said.
Meanwhile, Clarke County officials have identified two women who were killed in an Easter morning accident on Interstate 59. The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m.
The names of the two women, both residents of New Orleans, are being withheld pending notification of family members, Kemp said.
Kemp said the accident occurred when the car in which they were riding apparently hydroplaned, crossed the median and struck an southbound 18-wheeler. Both women were killed instantly, he said.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was transported to Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released. Kemp called the accident the worst he has seen in Clarke County since he began his career in law enforcement.
