Phil Campbell Bobcats softball team takes two from Sheffield

The Phil Campbell Bobcats won two straight over the Sheffield Bulldogs last week, 15-4 and 5-1.

Phil Campbell put the first game away early, scoring three runs in the first inning and seven in the second inning to take a 10-0 lead. Sheffield scored four runs in the bottom of the third, but the Bobcats responded with five runs in the top of the fourth.

Sidda Rogers tripled and singled, had a RBI and scored three times to lead the Bobcats at the plate.

Macey Welborn and Shiloh Madden both doubled. Welborn also scored a run. Madded scored a run and had a RBI.

Mia Ambrosio had two hits, n RBI and scored twice. Kadence Taylor and Brittney Coffmon also scored twice.

Addie James got the win in the circle, allowing three hits and striking out seven.

In game two, Phil Campbell got on the board first in the top of the first inning on a RBI-single by Rogers and a fielder’s choice by Madden.

In the top of the second inning Phil Campbell added to their lead after Lily Stewart grounded out, and Chaley Bullington stole home, each scoring one run.

The Bobcats added more to their lead in the third when Katelin Hester singled in a run to make the score 5-1.

Madden got the win in the circle, pitching four innings, allowing two hits and one run.
