Phil Campbell basketball gets wins over Lamar County, Cherokee

The Phil Campbell Bobcats scored two wins last week, defeating Lamar County 47-44 and Cherokee 67-47 while falling to East Lawrence 48-43. 

Phil Campbell fell behind early to Lamar County, trailing 12-10 at the end of the first quarter. The Bobcats trimmed the lead to 19-18 by halftime. Phil Campbell pulled ahead in the third quarter, taking a 36-31 lead. The Bobcats held off an advance by Lamar County in the fourth quarter to claim the win. 

Logan Wright led Phil Campbell with 16 points, followed by Gage Baker with 11 points and Madden Welch with 10 points. 

Austin Elliott added eight points, and Logan Cooper added two points. 

Phil Campbell defeated the Cherokee Indians in their season opener 67-47. 

The Bobcats raced out to an 18-7 lead in the first quarter and led 31-20 at the half. Phil Campbell extended their lead to 52-29 in the third quarter. 

Hayden Wingo led the Bobcats with 16 points, followed by Gage Baker with 13 points, Logan Wright with 11 points and Austin Elliott with 10 points. 

Madden Welch added eight points. Hagen Raper and Logan Copper scored two points each. Cody Quinn finished with one point. 

The Bobcats lost to the East Lawrence Eagles 48-43. 

The Eagles led 24-23 at the half and 36-33 at the end of the third quarter. 

Gage Baker led Phil Campbell with 16 points. 

Hagen Raper added nine points, Hayden Wingo eight points, Logan Wright four points, Madden Welch two points, Austin Elliott two points, Logan Cooper two points and Eli Taylor one point.
