Franklin County welcomes back Holly Day
For the sixth year in a row, the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce bringing back Holly Day to give families an opportunity to come together and celebrate the season.
Holly Day will be Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the A.W. Todd Centre in Russellville. Families are invited to enjoy a day of fun – including cookie decorating, games, Letters to Santa, entertainment, pizza and a drink, prize drawings and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Admission is $5. Some of the games included at this year’s Holly Day will be Tree Toss, Santa and Frosty Corn hole, kissing booth and checkers.
Franklin County Chamber of Commerce executive director Cassie Medley said although there is a lot of fun at Holly Day, she always looks most forward to the entertainment.
“I love watching the performances of local students,” Medley said.
This year’s entertainment will consist of voice students from Love 2 Sing Studio and Russellville High School Acapella Ensemble.
Everyone is encouraged to come out and join in the fun of celebrating the holidays.
“I just love that this is something where children can come spend a day of fun with parents and grandparents,” Medley said. “This is the sixth year we have done this, and each year it gets better.”
