Haze Weatherford shut down the Cherokee Indians last week, throwing a no-hitter and striking out nine batters to lead Vina to an 11-1 win.

Vina led 10-0 before Cherokee got its lone run in the bottom of the third inning. Vina racked up 15 hits in the game.

Braden Moomaw had three hits, an RBI and four runs. Chance Kennedy had two hits, two RBIs and two runs. Jackson Landers had two hits and an RBI and scored two runs. Isac Harper had three RBIs on three hits and scored a run. Isaac Shelton had two RBIs on three hits, and Weatherford had two hits and scored two runs.
