FCSO recovers Marion escapee

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested one for escape and other charges after he had previously escaped custody in Marion County.

According to the FCSO, Mark Lee Davis, 27, of Hackleburg, had escaped custody in Marion County, where he was in custody on theft charges. FCSO received word that the suspect was staying somewhere in Vina and were able to take him into custody. In his recapture, FCSO officers discovered allegedly stolen property in Davis’ possession, a firearm.

FCSO charged Davis with escape third degree, assault second degree, giving false identity to police, theft of property second degree and possession of a forged instrument.

Davis is in custody in Franklin County, with a hold from Marion.
