Belgreen dominates in win over Phil Campbell

The Belgreen Bulldogs continued their three-point shooting assault against area basketball teams Thursday night to remain unbeaten.

This time the victim was the Phil Campbell Bobcats who fell 76-38 to the Bulldogs.

By halftime Belgreen had drained ten three-pointers and Chase Landers and Dustin Smith had combined for 30 of the Bulldogs 53 first-half points.

Belgreen jumped out to a 21-7 first quarter lead. They extended that lead in the second quarter outscoring Phil Campbell 32-11 to take a 53-18 lead into the locker room.

Four Belgreen players scored in double-figures on the night.  Landers led all scorers with 19 points. He was followed by Smith with 18 points, Ben Inman with 14 points and Josh Devaney with 10 points. Other scorers for the Bulldogs were Will Barnwell (5), Jared Mitchell (4), Dakota Davis (4) and Hugo Castillo (2).

Freshman Bailey Motes led Phil Campbell with 17 points. Following Motes were Colton Vickery (9), Skylar Tackett (5), Nathan Duncan (5) and Ryan Saint (2).
