Letter to the Editor: Library thanks program sponsors
Dear Editor,
Summer break is halfway over, and here at Russellville Public Library that means that our summer reading program is halfway over as well. This year’s theme is “Libraries Rock,” and we’ve been having a blast getting to know the kids in the community and being able to provide them with a fun program.
With that being said, we would like to take a moment to thank all of our sponsors who have made it possible for us to put on this program. We have been fortunate enough to have people in the community like Community Spirit Bank, Listerhill Credit Union, CB&S Bank, Eye Care Professionals, Check Advance and McDonald’s sponsor our summer reading program, and we are so grateful.
Their sponsorship helps us provide the children with many opportunities including educational entertainment like comedian and ventriloquist Gene Cordova and Jason and Company. It also helps us cover the cost of items like craft supplies, books and refreshments.
The award ceremony at the end of the program benefits from their gracious sponsorships as well.
Sincerely,
Ashley Cummins
