No damage reported from Monday storms
Although Monday’s waves of storms brought rolling thunder and severe winds and rain, EMA Director Jody Hitt said Tuesday that little damage was reported or observed across Franklin County.
Multiple lines of storms swept across the county from mid-afternoon through the night, with the first two waves brining the threat of tornados. Hitt said high winds and flooding might have knocked down a few trees and similar minor damage, but no serious damage had been reported as of Tuesday morning.
There was minor flooding in Russellville, Hodges and Vina.
Meteorologists yesterday were tracking a line of storms predicted to move through Thursday, with the possibility to be severe.
