JIMMIE RODGERS ADULT TALENT CONTEST The two-man team of Jason Gardner, right, of Meridian, and Jason Childers, left, of Tupelo, won first place in the Jimmie Rogers Memorial Festival Adult Talent Contest Friday at Bonita Lakes Mall. Gardner and Childers received a trophy, a new Peavey guitar, a $250 check and the opportunity to perform during tonight's concert. Fred Base of Tuttle, Okla., won second place and received a trophy and $100. Kristy Irons of Philadelphia won third place and received $50. Terra Chancelor of Meridian won honorable mention. Sixteen performers took part in the contest.
