SYLACAUGA, Ala. Services for George Albert Thompson Sr. were to be held today at 11 a.m. at Curtis and Sons Funeral Home Chapel North Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Glenn Conner officiating. Burial was to be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson, 89, of Sylacauga, died Monday, May 6, 2002. He was a life long member of First United Methodist Church in Sylacauga and a member of Deedie Craddock Sunday School class. He was a member of the Order of Eastern Star number 209, Masonic Lodge number 200, Metro York Rite, Scottish Rite and the Zamora Shrine.
Survivors include his son, George Albert Thompson Jr. of Montgomery; his daughter Edith Thompson Romano and her husband, Don M., of Vestavia Hills; six grandchildren, Ashley H. Romano of Atlanta; Candice D. Thompson of Scottsdale, Ariz., Don Michael Romano Jr. of Hollywood, Calif., Tara A. Thompson, George Albert Thompson III and B. C. Romano all of Tuscaloosa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Gibson Thompson.
The family appreciates prayers during this time of sorrow. Memorials can be made to First United Methodist Church in Sylacauga.
KWANZA KEICHELL GOODWIN
Weems employee
Services for Kwanza Keichell Goodwin will be held Thursday, at 1 p.m. at Greater Calvary Baptist Church on 29th Avenue with the Rev. J. W. Perrien Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Goodwin, 25, of Meridian, died Friday, May 3, 2002, in her home. She was an employee of Weems Community Mental Health Center.
Survivors include her parents, Raphall and Barbara Goodwin; a brother, Raphall Goodwin Jr., all of Meridian; a paternal grandfather and her maternal grandmother.
Visitation will be today 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
LEON PLUMMER
Services for Leon Plummer will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Rose Missionary Baptist Church in Quitman with the Rev. Washington McKenzie officiating. Burial will be in Stonewall Cemetery with Clark's Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Plummer, 64, of Stonewall, died Sunday, May 5, 2002, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Joyce Plummer; a son, Leon Plummer Jr. both of Stonewall; three daughters, Octeria Mack of Wis., Patricia Mack and Angela Moore, both of Stonewall; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home Newton for David B. Stanley, 63, of Newton, who died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for James L. Naylor, 69, of Meridian, who died Monday, May 6, 2002, in Meridian.
MARVALEAN SIMEIN
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Marvalean Simein, of Stonewall, who died Tuesday, May 6, 2002, at the Speciality Hospital of Meridian.
