Edward Fleming, 79, of Hodges, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at ECM Hospital.
Ed always looked forward to fellowshipping with family and friends at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was a proud supporter of the Republican Party, and looked forward to the 2nd Saturday Breakfast Meetings. He loved God, family, and his country.
Ed retired as an owner operator in the trucking business after 38 years, most of which were spent in the oil fields of West Texas. You could always count on an entertaining story of “Life on the road.” He loved being home working on his truck, hunting, and watching Alabama football. He supported his children and grandchildren in all endeavors.
Ed was very easy to talk to and loved to talk himself. He had the special ability to make you feel comfortable. He will be deeply missed.
The visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Marion County Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Mt.
