Arrests made in burglary cases

Two Russellville men were arrested this week for their alleged involvement in separate burglary incidents.

Carl Clinton Hall, 34, 414 Cotaco St., Russellville, was arrested for third-degree burglary on Wednesday.

Randy Dewayne Price, Jr., 34, 823 Scott. Ave., Russellville, was also arrested on Wednesday for third-degree burglary and a probation violation.

According to Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett, Hall is accused of burglarizing a residence in the 100 block of Juniper Street in Russellville during the first week in October.

Hargett said the victim reported that his home had been burglarized and already suspected Hall was involved.

Police investigator Lt. Scotty Lowery said the victim told officers he through Hall had taken the stolen items to Wal-Mart to be returned.

“We discovered that the victim was correct and Mr. Hall had taken the stolen items to Wal-Mart to be returned,” Lowery said. “We caught him on video surveillance when he went to the store to return the items.”

Lowery said after watching the video, they obtained warrants for Hall and arrested him on Wednesday.

Hargett said that also on Wednesday, officers were able to arrest Price for a burglary that was committed the last week in September.

According to Hargett, the police department received a report that several items, including fishing rods, reels and collectible knives, were stolen from a residence in the 400 block of North Jefferson Street in Russellville.

Lowery said several of the stolen items were located at a local pawn shop.

“After we recovered some of the items, we began our investigation and interviewed several people,” Lowery said. “We eventually had enough evidence to tie Mr. Price to the burglary and we arrested him on Wednesday.”

Lowery said Hall has been released from custody on bond but Price still remains in custody awaiting a revocation hearing for violating his probation in a previous case.
