Jerry David York, 83, Russellville, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Burns Nursing Home.

A memorial service was held Friday, May 18, 2012, at Spry Memorial Chapel.  Bobby Bolton spoke at the memorial service.

He is survived by his daughter, Jerry Nell Nocua, Sylacauga; sons, Tommy York, Sylacauga, Randy York, Sylacauga; grandchildren, Tangae (Stan) Belter, Stacy Baily, Lance (Kimberly) Cabaniss, Ashley Cabaniss, Ginger (Paul) McDaniel, Priscilla (Jimmy) Nocua Yu, Stephanie York, Shelly York Posey; great-grandchildren, Carey Belter, Colby Matheson, Carlee Matheson, Alexandra Cabaniss, Jackson Cabaniss, Tulsa Cabaniss, Michael York, Lindsey York, Asa York, Riley Posey; sisters, Caroline (Frank) Lee, The Woodslands, Texas, Kathryn Ware, Marble Falls, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Matilda York; son, Michael York; mother, Maud Cole York; father, Chas Van York; brother, Tommy York.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Burns Nursing Home and to Dr. Almirol and his staff for the love and care shown towards our family.
