Police in search of assailants

The Russellville Police Department is still looking for the people responsible for allegedly tying up another man and robbing him in his home, officials said.

According to Police Chief Chris Hargett, the police department was notified on April 21 that two suspects had broken into the home of a man in the 500 block of Seminole Street.

Hargett said the two men allegedly tied the victim up, held him against his will and stole $6,000 in cash and two weapons before fleeing the scene.

Hargett said the victim was able to escape from his home even though his hands were still tied and made it to a neighbor’s house where they cut him loose and notified authorities.

Officials said the victim didn’t suffer any major injuries.

Hargett said the two suspects in question wore masks and were dressed in black. One man is believed to be of Dominican race and spoke with a Dominican accent. The other man is believed to be Hispanic.

Anyone with any information pertaining to this case is asked to call the Russellville Police Department at 256-332-2230.
