Vina High School students in seventh through 11th grade are now able to get instant feedback on assessments in Jessica Hamilton’s English class thanks to the new classroom response system.
The response system was purchased with the help of the Franklin County Community Development Commission, Sen. Roger Bedford and Rep. Johnny Mack Morrow.
Vina High School’s English Department was able to purchase 32 clickers and an RF receiver with the grant money they received.
Students enter answers to various tests including multiple choice, short answer and even essay questions into a wireless clicker, which resembles a small remote control. The data entered goes directly to the teacher’s computer and is graded instantly.
This technology is keeping students interested and informed and is taking some of the demanding paper-grading time off of the teacher.
Vina High School’s goal is to keep educating students with the latest technology available to keep them prepared for college and the workforce.
