Clarkdale evens record on the road

The Clarkdale Lady Bulldogs opened their 2001-2002 campaign with a victory on the road with a round-robin tournament at Bassfield.
The Lady Bulldogs had no problem Monday night, has they handled Our Lady Academy, from Bay St. Louis, 66-32. The Lady Bulldogs outscored the Lady Cresents by 24 points in the first half. The Lady Bulldogs put 35 more points on the board in the second half, as they easily put the Lady Cresents away.
The Lady Bulldogs were led in scoring by Tamera Brown with 16, Aleshia Wright 12, Danielle Gettis 11, and Felicia Kirksey 11.
OLA was lead in scoring by Margaret Magers with 15.
Sumrall 58
Clarkdale 46
Clarkdale lost their opening game at Bassfield, as Sumrall beat them 58-46.
Sumrall had a 12-point lead at the half-time intermission. The Lady Bulldogs put 24 points on the board in the second half, but that was not enough, as they dropped the decision 58-46.
The Lady Bulldogs were led in scoring by Danielle Gettis 16, Aleshia Wright 10, and Felicia Kirksey 9.
Sumrall was led in scoring by Keiona Jackson with 30, and Nicki Miller 13.
Neshoba Central 59
Enterprise 37
The Lady Rockets of Neshoba Central started their season off on the right foot Tuesday night, as they knocked off Enterprise in the Scott Central Tournament.
The Lady Rockets boosted a 28-17 lead at half-time, and they added 31 more points in the second half to out do the Lady Bulldogs 59-37.
The Lady Rockets were led in scoring by Crystal Webb 30, and Miranda Rosar 13.
The Lady Bulldogs lead scorer was Teela McBride 17.
The Lady Rockets will face Sebastopol, and Enterprise will face Scott Central Thursday night, at Scott Central.
Scott Central 64
Sebastopol 37
The Lady Rebels proved to be too much Sebastopol as they defeated them 64-37 Tuesday night in the Scott Central Tournament.
The Lady Rebels led 43-18 at the half-time intermission, and they held the Lady Bobcats to only 19 points in the second half, as they put up 24 more to pull away with their first win of the season.
The Lady Rebels were led in scoring by Marquita Anderson 14, Brittany Buckley 13, Katie Nickson 11, and Elyse Clay 11.
The Lady Bobcats were led in scoring by Brittany Gordon11, and Ashley Johnson 4.
The Scott Central Tournament will conclude Thursday night, as The Lady Rebels will play Enterprise, and the Lady Bobcats will play Neshoba Central.
