Dallas Thompson Briley, 87, of Russellville, died Friday, September 9, 2011, at Russellville Health Care.

Mrs. Briley was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Siloam Baptist Church, Russellville.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 11, 2011, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Spruce Pine Cemetery.  Officiating at the service was Roger Bond and Coye Marbutt.  

She is survived by children, Linda Pounders, of Tuscumbia, Ala., Eula Boyles and husband, Jimmy, of Danville, Ala., Ruby James and husband, Johnny, of Spruce Pine, Ala.; brother, David Motes, of Phil Campbell, Ala.; sisters, Opal Smith, of Russellville, Ala., Lula Weeks, of Russellville, Ala., Verda Hood, of Cullman, Ala.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by husband, Fred Thompson; husband, Lonnie Briley; daughter, Ruth Ann Thompson; son-in-law, Hudon Pounders; parents,

Richard and Ada Motes; one brother; and five sisters.

Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons.
