Wootten, Rush

Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Fuselier de la Claire Wootten announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Louise, to Dr. Benjamin Terrell Rush, son of Dr. and Mrs. Leslie Vaughan Rush Jr. of Meridian.
The mid-September nuptial be celebrated at Christ Church Cathedral.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Forest Christopher Buchanan and the late Mr. Buchanan and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elias William Rector Wootten of New Orleans.
Miss Wootten is a graduate of the Louise S. McGehee School and the University of Alabama, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She received a masters degree in nutrition from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
Miss Wootten is a registered clinical dietitian at Methodist Hospital in Memphis and a member of the Junior League of Memphis.
Several seasons ago, she was presented at Le Debut des Jeunes Filles de la Nouvelle Orleans and the Bachelors' Club. She was maid in the Krewe of Proteus and The High Priest of Mirthras Balls.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marion Harding of Lake Charles, La., and the late Dr. and Mrs. Leslie Vaughan Rush of Meridian.
Dr. Rush is a graduate of Brandon Hall School in Atlanta and Emory University. He received his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Rush is a third year resident in general surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis, where he is currently the Research Fellow for Transplantation Surgery.
A reception will be held at the Orleans Club following the ceremony.
