Jimmy R. Mitchell, 78, of Russellville, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Helen Keller Hospital.

Mr. Mitchell was a native of Franklin County, Alabama and a retired cosmetologist. He was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Russellville.

The memorial service will be Saturday, June 25, 2011, at 6 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with interment in Bethlehem Cemetery, Russellville. Officiating will be Wayne McDougle. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by brother, Jack Mitchell, of Russellville; sisters, Reba Patrick, of Russellville, and Martha Kerby, of Littleville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by parents, Alvie and Lela Mitchell; and sister, Elizabeth Hatton.
