James Williams

James M. (Junior) Williams, 78, of Golden,  Miss., died Sunday, May 22, 2010 at the Red Bay Hospital. He was born September 26, 1931 in Mississippi to James M. Williams Sr. and Emma Stockton Williams. He was self employed as a heavy equipment operator for 40 years, a member of First Baptist Church of Red Bay, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 24, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Red Bay with Bro. Larry Hill and Bro. Merlin Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Red Bay City Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Gola Funderburk Williams of Golden, Miss.; daughter, Lynda Bostick of Belmont, Miss.; son, Eric Williams and wife, Nancy, of Red Bay; grandchildren, LaShea Nunley and husband, Bradley, of Iuka, Miss., Ryan Bostick and wife, Jessica, and Nathan Bostick and wife, Magan, all of Belmont; great-grandchildren, Maura Nunley and Luke Nunley of Iuka and Calliana Bostick of Belmont; daughter-in-law, Gwen Williams of Golden; brother, Jimmy  Williams and wife, Zerda, of Golden; sister, Lester Williams of Fulton, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his son, Philip “Pinky” Williams.

Pallbearers included John Holt, Fred Bolton, Ralph Winchester, Doug Liles, Don Berry, and David Wood. Honorary pallbearers included Homer Dees, Judy Bolton, Alben Mason, Ken Shotts, Todd Shotts, Ryan Bostick, Nathan Bostick, Joe Bostick, and Scotty Hardin.
