Scott Central lineman dies in spring game

FOREST Tragedy struck at an area high school Friday evening when Henry Darby, a lineman for the Scott Central Attendance Center Rebels, died during a football game.
Callahan spoke softly Friday night, his voice heavy with emotion, when he said it's much too early to know what happened. It was about 6:30 p.m. when Darby fell on the sidelines.
Ministers and counselors were there to support Darby's teammates, he said, as well as coaches, teachers and students. The Darby family's personal minister remained with them. Darby lived in the Long Pilgrim community.
Darby was a 5-foot, 11-inch, 295-pound sophomore according to the 2000 Scott Central Rebels roster. He wore the No. 72 jersey and was listed as an offensive and defensive lineman under Rebels Coach Mickey Bounds.
