JEWELL A. LOCKE
PASCAGOULA Services for Jewell A. Locke were to be held today at 10 a.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home with the Revs. Glenn Howell and Larry Hilliard officiating. Burial was to be in Jackson County Memorial Park.
Mrs. Locke, 89, of Pascagoula, died Monday, May 14, 2001, in Gautier. She was born Sept. 8, 1911, in Clarke County. She was a retired accountant for the U.S. Government, SUPSHIP Pascagoula and a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Pascagoula. She was also a former employee of the Chronicle Star, now The Mississippi Press.
Survivors include a daughter, Tina Giron and her husband, Carlos, of Pascagoula; seven grandchildren, Rhonda Fryer and her husband, John, Barbara Capalbo and her husband, Marty, David Dixon and his wife, Debbie, Tanya Nugent and her husband, Chuck, Katrina Rabey, Zabrina Giron and Tito Giron and his wife, Virginia; 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lydia Anderson; her husband, Clifton L. Locke; a daughter, Dianne L. Roberts; and a brother, Alvin Anderson.

LACY LEE TAYLOR SR.

UNION Services for Lacy Lee Taylor Sr. will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Duffee Church of Christ with the Revs. Daniel Whitworth and Wendell Cotton officiating. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Taylor, 64, of Little Rock, died Sunday, May 13, 2001, in his home. He retired from American General Insurance in 1994. Mr. Taylor was also a retired minister and co-owner of Little Rock Used Cars. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a former minister at Duffee and DeKalb. He had preached since 1960. He was an instructor for two years at the International School of Evangelism in Pontiac, Mich.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Knight Taylor of Little Rock; two daughters, Cynthia Kay Smith and her husband, "Smitty," of Meridian and Deborah Jean Key of Little Rock; a son, Lacy Lee Taylor Jr. and his wife, Regina, of Halleyville, Ala.; four sisters, Gladys Darity of Nauvoo, Ala., Nola Fay Cowgar and Betty Stone, both of Wyandotte, Mich., and Sarah Anito of Lake, Mich.; six grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Justin and Kayla Key of Little Rock, Brandon Smith of Meridian and Ali and Cole Taylor of Halleyville; three step-grandchildren, James Smith Jr. and Ben Smith of Meridian and Renea Smith of Baldwin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Walter and Frances Benson Taylor; a brother, J.C. Taylor; and a sister, Verlie Darity.
Visitation will be today from 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
LULA DEAN

Services for Lula Dean will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Worley officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Dean a resident of Picayune died Sunday, May 13, 2001, in Picayune.
Survivors include a son, Adrian Dean and his wife, Faye, of Picayune; two sisters, Wydell Clark of Rome, Ga. and Lucy Gibbs of Brandon; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian A. Dean Sr.; and a son, Jerry Wilson Dean.
Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
MABEL MANNING
Retired from V.A. Hospital in Boston
Services for Mabel Manning will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Clark's Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Manning, 71, of Meridian, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmie E. Manning of Meridian; three sisters, Addie Lee Hopkins and Clotee Tift, both of Albany, Ga., and Earnestine Mahorne and her husband, Vincent, of Lockport, N.Y.; a brother, Charlie Murray of Lockport; two sons, H. Miguel Manning and his wife, Catherine, of Albany and Anthony Noland Manning and his wife, Leslie, of Boston; and her mother-in-law, Arabella Manning of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Henry Murray.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.
