VINA – The Vina football teams will try to end its season tonight like it began it – with a win.
The Red Devils opened the year with a 22-13 victory against Shoals Christian, but failed to win again until last week's 20-14 win against Tharptown.
The Red Devils travel to Hubbertville (3-6, 3-5) as they try to win three games in a season for the first time since 2005.
The last time Vina accomplished that feat, it defeated Hubbertville on the road to end a seven-game losing streak.
Vina is also trying to win two consecutive games for the first time since 2005.
The Red Devils used their defense to beat Tharptown, winning the game on an 85-yard interception return for a touchdown by Adam Pharr as time expired.
