A series of meetings will be held Thursday to provide information to people who recently lost their jobs.
The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs rapid response team and the Franklin County Development Authority will host the meetings at the Community Spirit Bank Arts and Entertainment Center in Red Bay. The meetings will be at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Representatives of the Alabama Office of Workforce Development, the Mississippi Department of Employment Security and the Hamilton Career Center will be meeting with displaced employees who recently lost their jobs at Tiffin Motor Homes.
The meetings' aim is to provide information about programs, services and benefits offered to them as well as questions about eligibility requirements and application procedures.
Mitch Mays, executive director of the Franklin County Development Authority, said he hopes that anyone with questions about their benefits or what is available to them will join the meetings.
"We want to get the information out there to the displaced workers from Tiffin Motor Homes," Mays said.
"This is not a job fair, this is strictly for us to provide information to those workers about some of the options they have."
Tiffin Motor Homes has laid off more than 400 employees in recent months.
"We are concerned about the people who have been laid off and want to do anything we can to help," Mays said.
"This reiterates the importance of us getting our infrastructure in place and getting more industry into the area."
