Thanks for the local support

By Staff
Dear editor, the Times,
The Russellville City Schools' Child Nutrition Program would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make our National School Breakfast Week a success.
A special thanks to our guests: Tony Bonds and Billy Witt; Russellville Golden Tigers Basketball Team; Coach Smith and Coach Townley; Patricia Cox and the RHS Cheerleaders; Russellville Police Department; Russellville Fire Department with Sparky the Fire Dog; Franklin County Chamber of Commerce – Cheryl Bradford, Susan Hall and Kevin Stone; Cat in the Hat – Libby Bradford and Judy Putman; Tucker Hammock; Addie Pickett; Mr. Mac with his dog Casey; Jordan Cantrell and Paula Lindsey.
We really appreciate these guests taking time out of their busy schedules to help support our program and visit with our students. We would like to thank several of our local businesses for their donations of door prizes: Clark Pulley for a cash donation to make purchases for prizes; Movie Gallery for free movie rentals; and our local banks – Bank Independent, CB&S Bank, Community Spirit Bank, First Metro Bank and Valley State Bank for $50 Savings Bonds that were drawn from students that participated in the breakfast program all week.
All the staff at Russellville Elementary School, Russellville Middle School, and West Elementary School did a great job in promoting and supporting our National School Breakfast Week. We ask for your continued support in helping keep our children informed of the importance of eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle.
