An 18 year-old has been arrested and charged with making terrorist threats after he fired a gun into the air outside of the Russellville McDonald's location last week.
A warrant was issued for Manchiko Wess, of 700 S. Columbia, Ave., Sheffield, on Monday.
He was turned over to authorities on Thursday morning.
According to police, Wess was involved in a verbal dispute with several other teens following last Friday's Russellville – Decatur basketball game.
The dispute carried over to McDonald's where Wess pulled a handgun and fired into the air while standing on top of a picnic table beside the children's playground area.
The building was forced into lockdown, leaving several bystanders outside near where the altercation took place.
Russellville Police Lt. Scotty Lowery said authorities were able to charge Wess with the felony count because people inside and out of the building could have received bodily harm.
The charge is a Class C felony, punishable by one to 10 years in prison, if convicted.
Wess was being held in the Russellville City Jail on $50,000 bond.
