West scores career-high; RHS girls drop two

SHEFFIELD – For two quarters, the Russellville girls had defending Class 3A champion Sheffield on the ropes.
But the fourth-ranked Lady Bulldogs'Zenaunnie Campbell responded with 16 of her game-high 23 points in the second half as Sheffield down Russellville 61-42 Monday night.
With the score tied at 27 at halftime, Sheffield (17-10) used a 14-8 run in the third to take the lead and then outscored the Lady Golden Tigers 20-7 in the final period to put the game away.
Tasha West led Russellville with 22 points, and Erin Reynolds added 11.
Haleyville 66
Russellville 55
Despite a career-high 36 points from Tasha West, Haleyville beat Russellville 66-55 Saturday night.
Victoria Taylor added 13 points for the Lady Golden Tigers, while Caroline King led the Lady Wildcats (13-7) with 22 points.
