VINA – The Franklin County Sheriff's Department found a methamphetamine (meth) lab at a Vina residence Thursday evening after receiving a tip from the power company.
Franklin County Sheriff Larry Plott said authorities from the power company reported there was a possible meth lab at 507 Barker Road in Vina.
"Investigators found signs of a meth lab in plain view from the outside of the residence," Plott said.
Plott added that investigators obtained consent to search the home and found a functioning meth lab in the bedroom.
Investigators also found ruins of two additional labs in the yard in addition to a portion of the lab that had been cooked off laying on a window unit air conditioner.
"We also found several guns at the residence during the search," Plott said.
Denise Anderia Bishop, 40, of 507 Barker Road in Vina, was taken into custody and charged with first-degree manufacturing a controlled substance (meth), which is a Class A felony, punishable with 10 years to life in prison upon conviction. Authorities are seeking another suspect in this case.
Plott said that his department is seeking Bradley Wade Waddle, 38, of 507 Barker Road in Vina. Waddle is believed to be Bishop's accomplice in the meth lab.
Anyone with any information on Waddle's whereabouts should contact the Franklin County Sheriff's Department immediately.
The Marion County Drug Task Force assisted in disassembling the lab and disposing of hazardous materials.
