Zevie Elizabeth Sims Wiggins

Zevie Elizabeth Sims Wiggins, 91, of Red Bay, died Oct. 1 at Red Bay Hospital.
She was born Dec. 14 1915. She was a native of Red Bay and a member of First United Methodist Church of Red Bay. Her grandfather, GW Sims, purchased land for the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reef and Carrie Sims; her husband, Oval Woodrow Wiggins and sisters, Tressie Gober and Verda Wright.
She was retired from Ala-Miss Distributor Flooring Company, which she co-owned with her husband.
The family would like to thank everyone who loved Zevie. She had a special gift for touching the lives and hearts of everyone she met and was a wonderful homemaker. She loved her children and was so proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her memories will be cherished and she will be greatly missed. A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Red Bay Hospital and Bobbie Bostick for her devotional friendship.
Funeral services were held Oct. 4 at First United Methodist Church of Red Bay with Dr. Dwayne McDuff officiating. Burial followed in Red Bay cemetery.
Left to treasure her memories are her two sons and their wives, Jimmy and Rena Wiggins and Nick and Debbie Wiggins; a daughter and her husband, Elizabeth and Don LaBorde; grandchildren, Steve Wiggins and wife, Cindy, David Wiggins and wife, Aloune, Amy LaBorde, Mark LaBorde, Jenny Sparks and husband, Ryan, and Andy Wiggins; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Julie, Anna and Blake Wiggins and Corilee Nichols, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Nick Wiggins, Andy Wiggins, Ryan Sparks, Steve Wiggins, David Wiggins, Don LaBorde, Joe Beasley, Tommy Beasley, Jerry Frame and Mike Sparks. Honorary pallbearer was Mark LaBorde.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, PO Box 126, Red Bay, AL 35582.
