Garrett, Lummus

Katrina Rachelle Lummus and Sephus Drice Garrett III, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, July 19, 2003, at Christian Fellowship Church with the Rev. Sephus Garrett Jr. officiating.
Parents of the couple are Bobby and Kristy Graham, Bobby Lummus, Sephus Garrett Jr. and the late Glenda Garrett, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Madie Pierce and the late Edgar Pierce, Ruby Lummus and the late Robert Lummus.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Goldie Garrett and the late Sephus Garrett Sr., and the late Frank and Viola Boswell.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Linda Johnson, organist; and Karen Smith, vocalist.
The bride was given in marriage by father and step-father. She wore a strapless gown of white matte satin. The bodice was adorned with seed pearls, bugle beads and rhinestones. The skirt featured boxed pleats that swept into a chapel-length train.
Karla Weir of Newton attended her sister as matron of honor. Other attendants were Hemi Averett of Cuba, Ala., Karen Smith of Tupelo, Christy Morrow, Melissa Winham and Ashley Garrett, daughter of the bridegroom, all of Meridian. Alexander Weir, niece of the bride, served as junior bride.
Shelby Averett of Cuba served as flower girl.
Frank Garrett of Meridian served his brother as best man.
Groomsmen and ushers were Shaun Galyean, Jason Plamondon, Nick Walton and Mike Brown, all of Meridian. Andrew Weir of Newton, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Brooks Butler, Tiffany Thomas and Louise Pickens.
After a honeymoon cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, the couple resides in Meridian.
