Services for Annie Mae Thompson will be held today at 11 a.m. at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Paul Early and Tommy Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Thompson, 93, of Meridian, died Thursday, June 17, 2004 at Riley Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Meridian and a member of Hebron Baptist Church. She was one of the church's oldest active members. She loved to quilt and attended the weekly quilting bee where she enjoyed the fellowship at her church. She retired from the "downtown Sears" in 1964 and maintained many of the friendships from the years at Sears.
Survivors include her sister, Ruby Irby of Meridian; nieces, Dorothy Troutman, Peggy White, Doris Harper, Ruth Culpepper, Tommie Ann Parke, Brenda Cobb and Pamela Graham; nephews, William Lee Lancaster and Eddie Wayne Irby and several great-nieces and great-great-nieces and great -nephews and great-great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert H. "Bob" Thompson.
Memorials may be made to Hebron Baptist Church.
Visitations will be today 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

BUTLER, Ala. Services will be held today at 1 p.m. for William Edward Smith Jr. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Free and Randall Hyatt officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Smith, 82, of Pennington, died Saturday, June 19, 2004, at Sumter Health and Rehab Center in York. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
Survivors include his sons, Phillip M. Smith of Linden, Billy Smith and Peter R. Smith, both of Pennington, Arthur Smith of El Jay, Ga., Walter Smith of Crossville, Tenn. and James Smith of Beckley W.Va.; a brother, Jack Smith of Meridian and 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
QUITMAN Services for Ruby Estelle Moore will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Rose Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moore, 82, of Rose Hill, died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Otis D. Moore of Rose Hill; sons, B.W. "Ben" Moore of Enterprise and Donald Ray Moore of Rose Hill; a daughter, Ann Reynolds of Rose Hill; a sister, Annie Lou Mitchell of Hazelhurst; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the church and Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church.
Services for Leota Brunson will be held Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Tom Sikes officiating. Burial will be private. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brunson, 83, of Meridian, died Thursday, June 17, 2004, in her home.
Visitation will be Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Services for Ruby Nell Williams Graham will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Claude Fleming officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Graham, 75, of Meridian, died Saturday, June 19, 2004, in Ft. Smith, Ark. She was a member of Highland United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sons, George Des Graham and his wife, Janet, of Montana and Charles "Charlie" Graham and his wife, Liz, of Philadelphia; a daughter, Georgia Joseph of Ft. Smith; a granddaughter, Brookly Graham Rosen and her husband, John, of Napa Valley, Calif.; brothers, Robert "Bobby" Williams and his wife, Cleddie, of Foley, Ala. and Boyd Williams and his wife, Betty, of Meridian; a sister, Betty Ivy and her husband, Mickey, of Georgia and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for John L. Matthews, 78, of DeKalb, who died Friday, June 18, 2004, at Riley Hospital.
