Union Planters names assistant vice presidents
Jeff Miley has joined Union Planters Bank as assistant vice president and investment executive. Miley, who has more than 16 years of experience in the investments industry, previously worked at a local securities company.
He is a graduate of Clinton High School and Mississippi State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering.
Scott Reeves has joined the bank as assistant vice president and investment executive. Reeves, with more than 12 years of experience in the investments industry, previously worked at a local securities company.
He is a graduate of Pearl High School, Hinds Community College and Mississippi College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration.
Riley Hospital welcomes new physician
Dr. Chad Vega has joined the medical staff of Riley Hospital and is practicing family medicine with Dr. Dan Henderson at Comprehensive Care Clinic on Highway 39 North.
The clinic, which relocated last week from offices on Poplar Springs Drive, is within the offices of Dr. Perry Wallace and Physician Care Group of North Meridian.
Board certified in family practice, Vega recently moved to Meridian from Winona.
He and his wife, Kendra, have a daughter, Anna Katherine, 5, and are expecting their second child.
Vega was born in New Orleans and grew up in Jasper County. He is a 1988 graduate of Heidelberg Academy.
He received his bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Mississippi in 1993 and his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean's School of Medicine on the island of St. Maarten.
He completed his residency in family practice at North Oakland Medical Centers in Pontiac, Mich., before returning to Mississippi to practice medicine in Winona.
Vega is a member of the American Medical Association, the Mississippi State Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Practice and the Mississippi Academy of Family Practice.
