Evans, Ivey

Mr. and Mrs. William G. Evans of Quitman announce the engagement of their daughter, Audrey Leigh, to Jacob Ashton Ivey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel F. Ivey of Quitman.
The wedding will be Saturday, June 21, 2003, at 5 p.m. at Cooper's Chapel United Methodist Church in Quitman.
Miss Evans is the granddaughter of Hazel Harrell of Quitman and the late Glyn L. Harrell, Marie Evans of Quitman and Mr. and Mrs. Grady M. Evans of Plentywood, Mont.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School and received a bachelor's degree in chemistry, with a minor in education, from the University of Southern Mississippi.
While attending USM, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Kappa Delta Pi, Golden Key National Honor Society and Gamma Beta Phi.
Mr. Ivey is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Claude E. Manley, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ivey, all of Quitman.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School and received a bachelor's degree in chemistry, with a minor in biology, from the University of West Alabama.
While attending UWA, he was a member of the American Chemical Society and Phi Kappa Phi.
Mr. Ivey is attending the School of Optometry at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Ala.
A reception will be held at Middleton Place, the home of Dr. and Mrs. Charles W. Shepherd Jr., following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
