Aime Gough and Brian Lay, both of Meridian, were married on Saturday, May 18, 2002, at First Baptist Church of Marion with the Rev. George Pugh officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mickey and Jackie Gough of Meridian and Gary and JoAnn Murrell and Barry J. Lay of Jupiter, Fla.
Grandparents of the bride are Mary Carver and the late Jack Carver, and Sally Gough and the late Harold Gough.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are James Addison and the late Kathleen Addison and Geraldine Lay and the late Bobby J. Lay.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Barry Germany.
The bride was given in marriage by her mother and father. She wore a strapless gown featuring a heavily beaded bodice with seed pearls that dropped into a basque waistline. The gown swept into an A-line skirt which featured an organza overlay of a floral design applique that swept into a cathedral train.
Jamie Champion of Meridian served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Christine Horn, Angela Tidwell, Tammy Burroughs and Jessica Moore, all of Meridian; Kim Strickland of Columbus; Elease Gough of Memphis, Tenn.; and Kristin Palmaisano of Slidell, La.
Darbi Estes of Memphis, Tenn., and Kayla Moore of Meridian were flower girls.
The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Chris Tidwell, B. J. Tidwell, Wes Stone, Shawn Moore and Justin Green, all of Meridian; Kevin Gough of Memphis, Tenn.; and Morgan Foster of Hattiesburg.
Kenton Sinclair of Meridian was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Dalewood Home of the bride's parents, following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Sally Gregory, Keri Gregory, Megan Garrett and Ann Carver.
After a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean, the couple resides in Meridian.
