Easter Bunny hops into Eastside Park

The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Russellville Easter egg hunt in Eastside Park Saturday. Eggs contained candy, money and slips for gift certificates donated by local businesses.

To round out the Easter season:

  • Hodges will host a town Easter event April 1 from noon to 4 p.m. at Hodges Town Park. Activities include a town picnic, vendor fair, Easter egg hunt, games, concessions, an ice cream vendor and photos with the Easter Bunny. For vendor information, contact Alison Armstrong at 256-460-5997 or 205-935-3445. About 50 smaller eggs will have candy and stickers, and there will also be two big prize eggs. Some eggs will not have a prize.
  • Vina Civitan Club will sponsor a community event April 1 at 10 a.m. for ages 0-11. All eggs will have candy, and there will be one prize egg in each age division. Refreshments will be served.
  • The Chamber’s egg hunts in Red Bay and Phil Campbell will be April 8 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively. The Chamber requests the egg hunts be kept for children fifth grade and younger, and children should bring their own baskets.
