Study Club hosts Tour of Homes

The Book Lovers Study Club will host its annual Holiday Tour of Homes Dec. 15 from 1- 4:30 p.m., beginning at the Russellville First Baptist Church.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased from any Book Lovers Study Club member or at the church the day of. At the church, visitors will begin with a map and brochure of all of the homes, as well as refreshments.

“I love seeing the houses and the different styles of decorations,” said Book Lovers Study Club Fundraiser Chairperson Martha Sibley. “Like everything else, everyone does it different. It’s so interesting to see how different personalities dress up their homes for the holidays.”

This year will feature four homes Sibley said are new to the tour. The homes for this year will be those of Chase Sparks, Phillip and Shereen Wade, Matt and Laura Kroeger and Barry and Beth Rhea.

All of the money raised from the Tour of Homes will go toward the Book Lovers Study Club’s future projects in art, conservation, education, home life and public issues.

Once visitors have their brochures, they will be able to visit the homes, where members of the Book Lovers Study Club will be waiting to greet them and help them on the tour.

Sibley said she has seen pictures of the homes, but each year the decorations are always a surprise she looks forward to.
