The Phil Campbell Bobcats built up a 4-0 lead and held off a seventh inning surge by the Belgreen Bulldogs to win 4-3 in recent county rivalry action.

Phil Campbell scored one run on a sacrifice fly by Kaitlyn Mills scoring Leeah Jackson.

The Bobcats added to their lead in the bottom of the fourth inning. Olivia Knight scored on an RBI bunt by Chloe Roberson. Kallie Allen scored on an RBI-single by Katie Thomas to give the Bobcats a 3-0 lead.  Roberson scored on error to give the Bobcats a 4-0 lead.

Belgreen scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning, but the Bobcats were able to hold them off for the win.

Phil Campbell 10, Red Bay 5

Phil Campbell exploded for seven runs in the bottom of the second inning, and that was all they would need to beat the Red Bay Tigers 10-5 last week.

Abby Davis had two runs batted in and scored two runs to lead the Bobcats.

Allen went two-for-three with an RBI and scored a run. Jackson had an RBI and scored two runs. Thomas also had a two-RBI night.

Emma Ergle got the win for the Bobcats, pitching seven innings, allowing six hits and three runs and striking out 11.
