Valentine, Calcote

Mr. and Mrs. William Dennis Valentine of Brookhaven announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathleen Dudley, to Colby Kent Calcote, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Scott Smith of Brookhaven.
The wedding will be Friday, March 28, 2003, at 6 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Brookhaven.
Miss Valentine is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Burrus Apperson and the late Dr. Apperson, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dudley Valentine, all of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Brookhaven High School and received a bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Mississippi.
While attending Ole Miss, she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority and selected as the 2001 Homecoming Queen.
Miss Valentine is employed by the Gibbes Co.
Mr. Calcote is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. David Ray Varnado of Union Church, Mrs. A.D. Kimble of Brookhaven and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Calcote Sr. of Brookhaven.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Loyd Star High School and received a degree in marketing from the University of Southern Mississippi.
While attending USM, he was a member of the Golden Eagle Baseball Team. He is employed by Wells Fargo Financial.
A reception will be held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Michael E. Smith following the ceremony.
