Services for Freda Holdiness Foster will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mike Boles, Melvin Boles and Kim Culpepper officiating. Burial will be in Twistwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Foster, 72, of Meridian, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, in Meridian. She was a member of The Evangel Temple and the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry Harmon Holdiness of Meridian, John Douglas Holdiness of Rose Hill; daughters, Wanda Gaye Smith of Rose Hill, Mary Jane McDonald of Pachuta and Gayle Anne Hawkins of Meridian; a sister, Reba Hortense Clark of Noxapater; grandchildren, Jeremy William Holdiness, Camila Cheater, Jimmy R. Smith, Hank W. Smith, Shawna Elizabeth Holdiness, Cory Stephen Holdiness, Dexter L. McDonald, Melissa Ann McMurray and Samantha Dawn Hawkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wayne Foster.
Pallbearers will be Dexter McDonald, Jeremy Holdiness, Hank Smith, Jim Smith, Marion Brantley and Scott Ford.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Walterine Hurtt will be held today at 10 a.m. at Union Baptist Church with the Revs. James M. Snowden, James Savell and Mike Vick officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge or arrangements.
Mrs. Hurtt, 88, of Bailey, died Sunday Oct. 27, 2002, at Riley Hospital. She was a retired LPN at East Mississippi State Hospital.
Survivors include her daughters, Carloyn Anderson and her husband, Jesse "Buster," of Meridian and Doris Smith and her husband, Ralph, of Brookhaven; two sons, James "Sonny" Hurtt and his wife, Rachel, of Meridian and Larry Hurtt and his wife, Joyce, of Bailey; a sister, Syble Neal of Northport, Ala.; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
RAYMOND ROYAL THOMAS
Graveside services for Raymond Royal Thomas will be today at 1:30 p.m. at Beason Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Balint officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Thomas, 66, of Meridian, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, in Meridian. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Thomas of Meridian; daughters, Mona Haskins and her husband, Kenny, and Becky Howard and her husband, Robby, all of Meridian; a son, Rick Thomas and his wife, Rita, of Meridian; his mother, Helen Riffle of Florida; brothers, Richard Thomas of Florida and Robert Thomas of Meridian; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Royal Thomas.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Haskins, Robert Howard, Curtis Thompson, Mardy McDonald, James Dominici, Derek Lasher, Erik Crago and Bobby Thomas.

MILLRY, Ala. Services for Delouise Granade Dempsey will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Frankville Baptist Church with the Revs. Leon Harris and Billy Burge officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Dempsey, 80, of Frankville, Ala., died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, in her home. She was the retired director of human resources in Choctaw County.
Survivors include her sons, George Michael Dempsey of Frankville, Larry Charles Dempsey and Mark Granade Dempsey, both of Butler, Ala.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today beginning at 5 p.m. at the family residence in Frankville.

Mrs. Cortines, 71, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Judy Savell and Donna Alderman and a sister, Elsie Sullivan, all of Philadelphia; a brother, Dan Gilbert Hollis of Bessemer, Ala.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Rosary will be at 6 p.m.

SEBASTOPOL Services for Bert McMillan will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. David Hamm officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McMillan, 78, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his sister, Jean Isom and a brother, John Joe McMillan, both of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today beginning at 3 p.m. at the family home.
ANNIE MAE CHISOLM WILHITE

Services for Annie Mae Chisolm Wilhite will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Hopewell Methodist Church in Kemper County with the Rev. Dr. H.J. Hutchins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wilhite, 87, of Kemper County, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, in her home. She was a member of Bethal Southern Methodist Church. She was a loving wife and mother.
Survivors include her children, Jesse Stephens Wilhite of Kansas City, Sara J. Wolfe and her husband, Thomas, of Hogansville, Ga., and Linda Elizabeth McCarthy and her husband, Douglas, of Collinsville; sisters, Sarah Neal of the Damascus Community and Ruby Chisolm of Meridian; a brother, Cecil Chisolm of Meridian; seven grandsons; two twin great-granddaughters, Kaitlin Rose Fowler and Lauren Elizabeth Fowler; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Wilhite; her parents, Vira Hagan Chisolm and Chester Wood Chisolm; brothers, Herschel Chisolm, Fred Chisolm and Vernon Chisolm.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and a special nephew, Robert Allen Fowler, Roy Wayne Fowler, Jonathan Thomas Wolfe, Michael Wilhite, Joshua Mark Wolfe, Cory Stevens Wilhite and Justin Eugene Wiggins.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. and 30 minutes prior to the service on Thursday.
IZELLA BEASLEY
Memorial services for Izella Beasley will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at Enterprise Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in East Cemetery in Enterprise.
Mrs. Beasley, 86, of Meridian, died Thursday Oct. 24, 2002, at Oak Park Nursing Facility. She was a retired public school teacher working Meridian and St. Louis, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Beasley.

UNION Services for Annie G. Cathey will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
Mrs. Cathey, 80, of Columbus, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, in Ridgeland.

Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Anita P. Rainer, 67, of Meridian, who died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian.
