Services for Angel D. Hardaway will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Meridian Church of Christ on Highway 19 North with Johnny Beckwith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Hardaway, 23, of Atlanta, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in Atlanta.
Survivors include her father, Dennis M. Hardaway, her step-mother, Gwendolyn Hardaway, maternal mother, Willie Pearl Hardaway, sisters, Patrina S. Hardaway and Courtney McMickle, all of Meridian; a step-brother, Billy M. King and his wife, Melanie, of Hattiesburg; a niece, Nylah Hardaway, a nephew, Jorves Cole and her grandmother, Mamie Lois Hardaway, all of Meridian; four aunts, Regina Lewis and her husband, James, and Lamondia Hardaway, all of Meridian, Dora Strickland and Mary Kelly, both of Clarke County; five uncles, Eddie L. Hardaway and his wife, Janet, of Racine, Wis., Daryle Hardaway and his wife, Vickie, of Columbus, Ga., Randy Hardaway of Meridian, John Westly of Mobile, Ala., and Thomas Horne of Clarke County; a great-aunt, Molly Shanks and her husband, Billy, of Stonewall; three great-aunts, Molly Shanks and her husband, Billy, of Stonewall, Callie Mae Murry of Meridian and Marie Anderson and her husband, Albert, of Racine; four great-uncles, Sonny Davis and his wife, Johnnie Mae, of Stonewall, Jessie Davis and his wife, Laval, of Seattle, Edward Hardaway and his wife, Jessie Pearl, and Howard Hardaway and his wife, Ella Mae, all of Meridian; a godchild, Julian C. Conner; a special friend, Dellire Starks; and several cousins, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be today 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home and an hour prior to the service at the church.

Services for Rickey Dean Adair were to be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Adair, 50, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Terry Adair; a daughter, Gloria Shevonne Adair Faile, both of Meridian; sisters, Frankie Morris and Tammy Adair; brothers, Roger Adair, Joe Adair, Ronnie Adair and Russell Adair, all of Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. and Cora E. Adair.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Pallbearers will be David Covington, Mike Covington, Bill Scarbrough, Kevin Reece, Kimmy Crayton, Tommy Fortenberry and Gerald Scarbrough.

QUITMAN Services for Van Gavin will be held today at 3 p.m. at Rolling Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Dennis Kennedy and Mike Soesby officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Creek Cemetery in Clarke County.
Mr. Gavin, 79, of Quitman, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, in his home. Mr. Gavin retired from Burlington after 42 years. He was a veteran of the Army Air Force and served in World War II. He will be remembered for his love of baseball.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Davis Gavin of Quitman; a son, Greg McLemore and his wife, Pam, of Carthage; two daughters, Susan McLemore Bonner and her husband, Larry, and Patricia Gavin Bishop, all of Quitman; a brother, Bill Gavin, and a sister, Edna Wells, both of Mobile, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Ryan McLemore of Orange Park, Fla., Heath McLemore of Rose Hill, Leslie Mayo and David Bonner, of Quitman, Allyson Mosley and her husband, Chris, of Stonewall, Linda Hamilton and Douglas Hamilton, and Ethan McLemore, all of Carthage; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Mayo of Quitman and Gavin Mosley of Stonewall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Betty Evelyn "Evie" Gavin; two brothers, Isom Gavin and Paul Gavin; two sisters, Elsie Gavin Williams and Alma Gavin Daugherty.

ATHENS, Ga. Graveside services for Shirley Walton Davis Donald will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Ralph Marsh officiating. Bernstein Funeral Home of Athens is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Donald, 79, of Athens, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002.
A native of Sharon, Pa., Mrs. Donald was the daughter of the late Paul Walton Davis and Sara Belle Stark Davis. She was the widow of James Oren Donald Sr. She came to Athens 42 years ago from Atlanta. She was an avid golfer and supporter of women's and youth golf programs. Mrs. Donald was a member and officer of the Athens Country Club Women's Golf Association. She was a homemaker and member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Donald Snowden of Athens; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Donald Hilimire and Rick of Athens; sons and daughters-in-law James Oren Donald Jr. and Cathey of Auburn, Ala., and Robert Mitchell Donald and Jane of Athens; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Dorothy Donald Shank and Jack of Meridian; grandchildren, Barbara Donald, Nolan Donald, Billy Snowden, Mark Snowden, Mitch Donald, Sarah Donald, Mary Grace Donald, Ben Hilimire, Jamie Hilimire and Katie Hilimire.

Memorial services for Russell L. Adams will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Revival Time Tabernacle with the Rev. Frank Dobson officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Adams, 64, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, in Meridian.
Survivors include his daughter, Mitzy Underwood and her husband, Lucky, and a son, Russell L. "Rusty" Adams Jr., all of Meridian; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Florance Adams.

BUTLER, Ala. Graveside services for Jessie McDowell were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at McDowell Cemetery with the Rev. Russell Wray officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McDowell, 90, of Bladon Springs, Ala., died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center. He was postmaster of Bladon Springs Post Office.
Survivors include his daughters, Christine Cranford and her husband, Buddy, of Birmingham, Ala., and Pauline Knapp and her husband, Milt, of Daphne, Ala.; and his son, Jerry McDowell and his wife, Mary, of Mobile, Ala.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
