Goodman, Denham

Shellie Evonne Denham and Brian David Goodman, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, June 15, 2002, at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Franklin Denham and Dr. Carl White officiating.
Parents of the couple are the Rev. Franklin and Deborah Denham, Unrue Goodman and Janie Goodman, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are O.S. Denham and the late Helen Denham, Wilma Jones and the late Robert Jones.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Goodman of Meridian, Frances Molpus of Meridian and the late Charlie E. Molpus.
Nuptial music was provided by the Rev. Franklin Denham, Rebekah McCay and Michael Gibson.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a two piece white Duchness satin gown featuring a modified tank top accented with bugle beads and pearls. The slenderizing A-line skirt featured a wide banding of blizzard beading edging the sweep train.
Lauren Denham of Meridian attended her sister of maid of honor.
Other attendants were Leigh Ann Leanord of Brandon, Anna Carty and Farrah Cline, both of Jackson, Mellisa Branton and Kelly Ishee, both of Meridian.
Blair Miller and Caroline Kennard of Meridian served as flower girls.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Doug Goodman, brother of the bridegroom, Daniel Johnson, Leslie Williams and Regan Denham, brother of the bride, and Eric Johansen, all of Meridian, and Kevin Brewer of Starkville.
Daniel Goodman of Meridian, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
Daniel Goodman and Matthew Goodman, nephews of the bridegroom, carried Mississippi State and Alabama football helmets to distribute the birdseed bags to guests during the reception.
Program attendants were Sarah Gallion and Lindsey Swift.
A reception was held in the church family life center following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Margaret McCay, Cynthia Leanord, Kristen Johnson, Carol Denham, Brianna Ricker and Lauren Winstead.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Hickory.
