Free basic boating classes

The ALEA Marine Patrol Division is offering a free boating class this month.
Classes are open to anyone who is at least 12 years old. A boating license is required for anyone to operate a motorized vessel on state waterways. A test will follow instruction time.
Anyone interested in one of the ALEA classes should email name, address and phone number to class coordinator, Pat.Welton@alea.gov.
– 9 a.m. April 25 (eight-hour class): Elliott’s Branch at Little Bear Lake, off Franklin County 88 in Hodges.
