Paul Singleton, 92, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at his home in Vina.  He was born in Alabama to Enos and Merdie Humphres Singleton.  He was a farmer for more than fifty years and worked at Blue Bell for twenty years.  He was a member of HurricaneCreekMissionaryBaptistChurch.  He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII 56th Signal Battalion and received a Bronze star for his service.

Services will be Tuesday, Jan. 27, 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Humpries, Rev. David Smith and Bro. W.D. Humphries officiating.  Burial will be in EbenezerCemetery.

Survivors include six children, Mary Frances Fowler and husband, Jimmy of Corinth, Miss., Nancy Pauline Emerson and husband, Steve, and Judy Faye Miller and husband, James, all of Hamilton,  Roxann DeFoor and husband, David, of Moulton, Golda Mae Singleton of Phil Campbell, and Steven Lee Singleton of Vina; 12 grandchildren; and six great – grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 61 years, Reba Roxie Holland Singleton; son, David Paul Singleton; one sister, Verdie Holland; and two brothers, Alfred Singleton and Cecil Singleton.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jimmer and Jonathan Fowler, Joshua and Jeffrey DeFoor, Jimmy and Colby Emerson and David Watts.

Visitation was Monday, Jan. 26, at Deaton Funeral Home, RedBay, and Tuesday at EbenezerBaptistChurch.
