Lady Bobcats fall to Colbert Heights

The Colbert Heights Lady Wildcats raced out to an early 16-5 first quarter lead over the Phil Campbell Bobcats on Dec. 10 in route to a 45-35 area win.

The Wildcats didn’t let up in the second quarter. Colbert Heights outscored Phil Campbell 14-11 building a 30-16 halftime lead.

The Bobcats tried to make a run in the second half outscoring the Wildcats 19-15. It was not enough, however, as Colbert Heights notched the area win.

Taylor Pace led the Bobcats with 14 points. Also in double figures was Elizabeth Benford with 11 points.

Rounding out the Bobcats scoring was Madison Hardy with four points and Kaylee Ayers, Tori Pace, and Courtney Baker with two points each.

Leading all scorers was Destiny Pratt for Colbert Heights with 24 points.
